The Department of Linguistics and Technical Communication has extended the deadline for entries for its Professional and Technical Writing Contest, with cash prizes for winning entries. The new deadline is Friday, March 7, 2014. Both undergraduate and graduate students may submit entries in the following categories:
- Manuals
- Proposals
- Brochures
- Presentations
- Technical communication marketing
- Online communication (such as websites and interactive online documentation)
Your entry
- Must be original work that you created for a class
- May be work completed either by an individual or by a group
- May not exceed 15 pages (send a representative sample from longer works)
- May be an individual assignment or work created for a client
To enter, you must
- Be currently enrolled at UNT
- Submit entries online at tech-writ-contest@unt.edu. Please include your name, email address, and student ID number with your online entry
- Fill out an entry form, which you may either download or pick up from the departmental office (Auditorium Building, room 317).
Entries are due by Friday, March 7, 2014.
